— The President and CEO of eQualitative Research Inc., Dr. Renee Frengut
won the Woman of the Year Award presented by the Atlantic-Florida
Chapter of Women in Communication (AWC)
for the category of Communications Technology and the Internet.
The Association for Women in
Communications recently presented its Fourth Annual Woman of the Year
Awards honoring women in seven communications categories.
The winners were:
- Lifetime Achievement Award: Pulitzer Prize Winning Miami Herald
Journalist and Novelist Edna Buchanan.
- Television: Reporter Robin Kish of CBS4
- Fund Development and Special Events: Gail Meltzer of Fund Raising

The awards recognize excellence within the disciplines of the
communications industry for women working in Palm Beach, Broward and
Miami-Dade counties.
All of the nominees demonstrate excellence and creativity in their
field.
Entries were independently reviewed and judged by another Association
for Women in Communications chapter.
Meredith Porte, producer of WLRN in Miami, was the emcee for the
evening.
